Century Link: From an email: Make sure that any medical facility that is connected to an R&E network should be registered with the Dept. of Homeland Security for its telecommunication service priority (TSP) program. If the customer is a Federal or State agency or supports services deemed mission critical to public health, safety and maintenance of law and order, they can work with the Dept of Homeland Security to apply for a TSP Provisioning Priority code. That is an industry-wide accepted means of ensuring that telecommunications providers, like CenturyLink, prioritize and expedite services through their provisioning process as well as ensuring any off-net vendors prioritize/expedite services.
