ATTENDEE GUIDELINES
The Great Plains Network 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting is a professional conference where there is every expectation that attendees, sponsors, speakers, and staff conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of each other. We want the conference to be a safe and productive environment for everyone. To that end, these guidelines spell out the behavior we support and don’t support at the conference.
HARASSMENT AND OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR
We do not condone harassment or offensive behavior at our conference. We invite you to help us make each GPN conference a place that is welcoming and respectful to all participants, regardless of race, color, gender, gender identity and expression, ancestry, age, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, disability, protected veteran status, national origin, ethnicity, religion, or any other status protected by applicable state or federal law. So that everyone can focus on the conference itself, and the great networking and community richness that happens when we get together in person, we will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form—in person or online.
CRITICAL COMMENTARY
We value the individuals, institutions, and companies who attend, participate in, and sponsor all GPN conferences. We ask that all attendees refrain from making derogatory, demeaning, or overly critical comments of anyone, especially any others attending the conference, including our sponsors who make the conference possible financially.
COMPLIANCE
We expect all participants—attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers—to follow these guidelines during the conference. This includes conference-related social events at off-site locations, and in related online communities and social media. Participants asked to stop any harassing or disruptive behavior are expected to comply immediately. Conference participants violating these guidelines will be asked to leave the conference without a refund and/or will be banned from future GPN events, at the discretion of GPN.
REPORTING
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately, or contact GPN’s Executive Director, James Deaton at jed@greatplains.net.
We thank our participants for your help in keeping the event welcoming, respectful, and friendly to all.
