Please join us for the GPN 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, this year conducted completely online due to the restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our focus is on expanding the use of advanced networking and high-performance computing to spur innovation and research opportunities within the member states of the Great Plains Network. A full schedule of speakers, panels, breakout sessions, lightning talks, and workshops is planned, all held online and free for anyone to participate from the convenience of your office or home.
PROGRAM
We begin the GPN 2021 Virtual Annual meeting with two excellent workshops scheduled on the first full day of the meeting, Wednesday, June 2nd. Thursday and Friday, June 3rd and 4th, are the main conference days during which you will find a full schedule of speakers, panels, breakout sessions, Birds of a Feather sessions, and lightning talks. Our sponsors also are a part of the conference. “Sponsor Office Hours” are scheduled for Thursday morning where attendees can meet and talk with each of our sponsors. And, don’t miss some of the fun we have planned by volunteering to give a brief 5-minute talk on any topic of interest during Attendee Lightning Talks. These take place just before the meeting wraps up on Friday.

Spread the word! Participation in the GPN 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting is free and open to anyone. However, you must register in advance. The registration deadline is Friday, May 28, 2021, 5:00 PM Central.
CALL FOR LIGHTNING TALKS
A lightning talk is a brief presentation by a volunteer on a topic of his or her choice that will be of interest to the others at the conference. The topic can be something you are working on personally or professionally, something you have learned about and wish to share, or possibly an idea you have and are seeking others who might also be interested. The topic can be technical, personal, serious, humorous, or somewhere in between. However, please keep it classy and avoid controversial topics. We can accommodate a limited number of talks, and each speaker will be strictly limited to five minutes. So keep it short! The Attendee Lightning Talks take place in the last full session on Friday at 2:15 PM. If you are interested, please send an email with your name and the title of your talk to conference@greatplains.net.
