Happy 25th anniversary!
On August 31, OSCER opened our doors for the very first time.
Their very first act was to teach a supercomputing workshop, that very day. Back then, the full team was two people: Henry Neeman and Brandon George, our Manager of Operations — and they didn’t yet have any machines (those arrived in spring 2002). They’ve made a lot of progress and facilitated over a billion dollars of research since then, but it’s good to pause a moment and remember when they got started.
They’re delighted to have had this opportunity to collaborate with the University of Oklahoma and the wider Oklahoma research community, and they look forward to many more years together!
