OSU Hosts Data Carpentry Workshop

OSU is hosting a Data Carpentry Workshop on April 18-19.

Location: Room D-107, Tandy Building, OSU Center for Health Science, 1111 W. 17th St. Tulsa, OK 74107

Time: 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (both days)

Description: Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. Topics covered: Excel, OpenRefine, R, and SQL. R curriculum with include an introduction to R syntax, analyzing and manipulating data using the dplyr package, and visualizing data using ggplot2.
