ESnet’s CI Engineering Brown Bag Webinar Series

Nick Buraglio of ESnet will talk about Cultural and Operational Implications of Disruptive Technologies.

Abstract:

As technologies shift from traditional, compartmentalized responsibility silos and begin to minimize direct human interactions with hardware components, the cultural and operational models must adjust to align.  Often, these changes present a necessary opportunity to identify and remedy long standing and in some cases difficult to quantify technical debt that must be addressed in order to progress. In this talk we will provide a starting point for this process, identify many of the critical but often overlooked components of moving a running network into a more automation driven state.
